Abstrak
Abetsina Siska Trogea. The Influence Of Parents Involvement Onstudents Achievement In Learning
English At Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong (Supervised by Ruslan Hasyim .S.Pd.,M.Pd and
Muhaiminah Akib.S.Pd.,MPd).
Parental involvement is the level of parents’ participation in their child’s education and school.
The aims of this study to find out parents involvement and students achievement at second semester of
Universitas Muhammadiyah sorong and to discover the influence of parents involvement on students
achievement. The writer collected the data from questionnaire and student GPA . The data in this study
was analyzed through percentage of questionnaire , for students achievement and using pearson’s product
moment coefficient of colleration SPSS 25. This study involved thirty students of second semester at
Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong. The writer took the sample by using purposive sampling. The
findings in their research show that there are 15 (60%) students have very high parents involvement, 15
(60%) students have high parents involvement and no students are related to low and moderate parents
involvement. The result of students’ achievement is indicated that all students have high score in English
the second semester at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong . The results of the correlation between the
two variables 251 significant. So : 0,181>0,181 means Ha accepted Ho rejected . In other words, there is a
moderate correlation between parental involvement and their learning achievement. Parental involvement
and student achievement has a positive correlation.
