This study aims to determine social interactions and behavioral changes that occur in the
people of Sorong City, due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has recently shocked the
world. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by taking a case study
approach that is based on reality and facts in the field with the object of research being
the community as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak. The interactions that occurred in
Sorong City when viewed from the social aspect during the covid-19 pandemic did not
really affect the interaction relationships that were built between fellow community
members, where fellow community members could still communicate directly, but what
changed in the interaction were changes in behavior, changes in lifestyle, and changes in
communication between people and others. Sorong City, with its very small space for
social interaction, makes it easy for us to meet the same people at the same time, which in
turn makes it easier for interactions between people to run well.
